Iraq Documentary Film Festival
As its young filmmakers receive international recognition for their documentary work, IFTV Iraq has announced its first film festival, aiming to bring the most accomplished work to a global audience…
The first of its kind in Iraq, the traveling Documentary Film Festival represents a hugely important showcase and celebration of renewed cultural output in the region, aiming to provide a platform for young, talented directors to reach industry players from across the globe.
The organisation were keen for a site design and construction that would convey the maturity, quality and ambition of the filmmakers and organisers, and we partnered to create a bold, impactful online home for the three-city event.

The brand
The festival organisers wanted a brand that supported the wide range of subject matter addressed by the films to be screened over the two-day, three-city programme. The brand needed to be clear, mature and remain anchored in the Iraqi identity of the festival whilst still appealing to a global audience.

Together, we responded with a bold and carefully contrasted colour palette along with clear, accessible and readable fonts, all designed to complement existing materials and work well with the Film Festival organisers’ other logos and artwork.
